Making Christmas essential oil blends is a fun way to add ambience to the season.
The best Christmas essential oils depend on the ambience you want to create. Do you associate the holiday with peppermint candy canes? Diffuse some peppermint essential oil! It has beneficial effects on digestion. If your tummy aches after you eat too much, dilute a few drops of peppermint in a teaspoon of carrier oil and gently massage your abdomen.
Spicy or citrus essential oils also evoke the season. Spicy oils include cinnamon, clove, cassia, bay laurel, ginger, and pimento berry. For seasonal citrus oils, good choices include mandarin, orange, tangerine, and lime.

Another scent associated with the yuletide is the earthy, green smell of trees. You can get the best Christmas tree essential oil aroma by diffusing woody essential oils such as pine, spruce, cedarwood, juniper, or any of the fir essential oils. You can even add a few drops to the water in the tree stand of your live Christmas tree.
Another option is to make a room air freshener by blending 30 drops of any oil (or a blend) in one-half cup distilled water in a spray bottle. Shake well before each use to thoroughly mix the water and oils.
Suggestions to make a Christmas tree essential oil blend:
