I'm Carol Wiley, a former massage therapist with a deep interest in massage, aromatherapy, somatics, and self care.
I offer information about how to use essential oils in aromatherapy, massage, and self care for people interested in taking charge of their health and self care.
This website's predecessor (BellevueMassageTherapy.com) began in February 2003 as a way to market my massage therapy practice. The site soon became the main source for my clients.
I graduated from the 900-hour massage therapy program at the Brian Utting School of Massage in Seattle, WA, in 1997. My focus was deep tissue and Swedish massage plus onsite chair massage.
After closing my massage practice in 2009 and becoming a full-time freelance writer, I focused on building this site into a resource for information about aromatherapy, massage, somatics, and self care.
In July 2021 I completed the 13-month Ghostwriting Professional Designation Program (GPDP), the only all-inclusive, online ghostwriter-training course in the world. Yes, I spent the pandemic becoming a Certified Ghostwriter. I now focus on helping authors create marketable business, how-to, self-help, and body-mind-spirit books by offering two primary services: complete book ghostwriting and line editing for drafts ready for that step.
My other interests include contact improvisation dance, and I am a founding organizer (in 1994) of the Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation, and the non-profit Dance Art Group (in 2002), which produced the festival and other dance-related workshops/events in Seattle through 2011.
My background includes about 20 years of martial arts training, mostly in Aikido and Tae Kwon Do, and I am the editor of two published anthologies of essays: Women in the Martial Arts and Martial Arts Teachers on Teaching.
Thanks for your interest!
Carol Wiley
You may think that your only options for building a website are to learn tedious HTML coding or to hire a web designer. Not so! Solo Build It! is a cool way to build a successful website that requires no up-front tech knowledge. I use Solo Build It! for this site.
